Tron, Sam realises that it was indeed his father, who has been trapped inside for more than
20 years. Although originally created by Kevin himself, the visually stunning cyber universe
has now morphed into an overly advanced and exceedingly dangerous place.
Desperate to escape the fierce programs, gladiatorial games and never-before envisaged
vehicles, weapons and landscapes, Sam and Kevin enlist the help of the fearless warrior
Quorra (Olivia Wilde) and embark on a journey of life and death.
A high-tech adventure set in the digital world, Tron Legacy is the 28 years in-the-making

A western icon, True Grit was originally adapted from Charles Portis
1968 novel resulting in John Wayne’s first Oscar winning role. Now
remade with four Oscar winners at the helm, this film has all the
breeding to be truly wonderful.
In a genre often overlooked in modern times, 2010’s True Grit will
hopefully bring back a lot of memories and some well deserved
attention to the classic western.

Keep your horde happy and kids cool this summer with all the latest Hollywood
action. JOANNA BAKER puts a new spin on the Christmas season with some old
classics re-worked and some new 3D adaptations.
Set in modern time but based on Jonathan
Swift’s satirical 18th-century novel of the
same name, Gulliver’s Travels is fun family
adventure brought to life with live action 3D.
Free-spirited wannabe travel writer, Lemuel
Gullier (comedian Jack Black) has always
been the butt of the New York Times insider
jokes. Seen as mediocre and lacking drive,
his unenthusiastic boss gives him a new
assignment: to visit the Bermuda triangle
and report back with something impressive,
However, when an unforseen storm turns
the sea and a wave hits his one-man boat,
Gulliver ends up washed ashore the hidden
island of Liliput.
Suddenly a giant amongst men, Gulliver
towers over the inhabitants of Liliput, home
to a population of industrious, yet tiny,
people. After a rocky beginning, Gulliver’s
perpetually underachieving ways are cast
aside as he brings modern day wonders to
the little community.
Forlorn and attempting to mend a broken
heart, American tourist Frank (Johnny
Depp) indulges in an impromptu trip to
Europe. Quickly finding himself in a highly
flirtatious dalliance with English traveller
Elise (Angelina Jolie), Frank’s woes seem
all but forgotten.
The supposedly coincidental meeting is
actually an orchestrated encounter on
Elise’s part. Deliberately crossing Frank’s
path, Elise attempts to mislead those
pursuing her former lover; a criminal
wanted in 14 countries for stealing from a
renowned gangster, leaving frank a direct
target and thrusting him into a dangerous
game of cat and mouse.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop
of Venice and Paris, this elegant,
sophisticated and multilayered Boxing
Day thriller is bound to be as beautiful as
